asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether his Department have acquired the premises in which the post office is located at Clifden, Connemara, County Galway; the plans his Department have for the development of a new post office building at Clifden; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is expected that legal formalities for the purchase of the premises will be completed shortly. Plans for the new post office will then be prepared.
