Vol. 337 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Handicapped Persons Day Centre.

577.

asked the Minister for Health whether he has earmarked a premises adjoining Northside Shopping Centre, Dublin, as a day centre for handicapped persons who have come out of school; and when he will be in a position to open the centre.

I presume the Deputy is referring to the Eastern Health Board's proposal to adapt a premises in Coolock for use as a day activity centre for the handicapped. The commencement of this project will depend on the availability of capital resources and the priority accorded to the project by the Eastern Health Board.

There was no provision in the previous Government's capital allocation to allow this project to proceed.
