Vol. 337 No. 11

Written Answers. - Connacht Regional Airport.

99.

andMr. Cooney asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if, in view of the relatively small amount of traffic forecast for the Connacht Regional Airport, he will confirm for the reassurance of the people in the locality and county that the airport will not be made available eventually for any foreign military use and that the length of the runway has no military connotations.

The Government do not intend to make any airport or other facility within the jurisdiction of the State available for foreign military use.
