Vol. 339 No. 9

Written Answers. - Louth Sewerage Scheme.

239.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware that contract documents for Dunleer sewerage scheme, County Louth are with his Department; and when he proposes to give Louth County Council permission to advertise for tenders for this scheme.

Contract documents for the Dunleer sewerage scheme have been submitted to my Department by Louth County Council and are under consideration at present. Having regard, however, to the need to conserve available capital for schemes of the highest priority, including Cooley regional water scheme. I cannot say at this stage when I will be in a position to convey approval to the local authority to advertise for tenders for the scheme.
