The person concerned completed 390 days of unemployment benefit on 16 December 1982. However, she worked intermittently for more than 13 weeks after she had drawn 156 days of benefit and accordingly she requalified for unemployment benefit and her entitlement to benefit is governed by her contribution record during the period 6 April 1980 to 5 April 1981.

She was paid unemployment benefit at the reduced rate of £36.80 weekly but, following the completion of inquiries about her contribution record, the rate of unemployment benefit paid to her has been increased to the maximum rate of £39.15. In addition she is entitled to pay-related benefit payable from 31 December 1982 at £6.10 weekly.

Arrangements have been made to make an adjusting payment representing all arrears due to her this week. Further combined weekly payments of £45.25 will be made to her as they become due.

An allowance order book payable from 17 February 1983 has been sent to the designated post office for collection by her and she has been notified accordingly. asked the Minister for Social Welfare when an unemployment assistance claim will be approved and paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

The person concerned withdrew her original application for a qualification certificate but reapplied on 9 December 1982.

In order to establish her entitlement it is necessary to have her means investigated but, because of the volume of work in the area, it has not so far been possible to have this done. However, it is now the subject of urgent inquiries and when these are completed means will be assessed and entitlement to unemployment assistance will be determined without delay.
