asked the Minister for Education if she is aware of the present condition of the old national school at Killeigh, County Offaly; and when it is proposed to proceed with the building of the new school approved by her predecessor.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of a new national school at Killeigh, County Offaly; if her Department have sanctioned a new school; if so, the type; and if she will give full details of the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 604 and 605 together.

It has been agreed to provide a new national school at Killeigh, County Offaly. The planning of the new school, which will comprise seven classrooms, a general purposes room and the usual ancillary facilities, is being undertaken by the Commissioners of Public Works. My Department await the submission of sketch-plans by the commissioners.
