Vol. 342 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

607.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant due to a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon will be paid.

There is no record in my Department of an application for a housing grant from the person named. There is however an application from a person with the same surname and address but with a different Christian name under the old scheme of house improvement grants. The position in this case is that the grant approved cannot be paid as, contrary to a requirement of the Housing Regulations, 1980, (as amended), notification of the completion of work and a claim for payment of the grant were not received in the Department by 30 June 1981.

608.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named. A solid fuel grant was however paid in this case on 16 January 1981.

609.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A maximum house improvement grant of £600 under the old scheme was paid to the person named on 30 June 1981. Grants in respect of the installation of water and sewerage facilities could not be paid in this case as these works commenced prior to the operative date of the scheme — 1 November 1977.

610.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A recent inspection revealed that the house was incomplete. The applicant should notify my Department as soon as the house is complete when an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the grant.
