Vol. 342 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport Charges.

872.

asked the Minister for Education if any exceptions have been made to the school transport charges at second level for the children of parents holding medical cards who are deemed to be availing themselves of catchment boundary facilities; and if any particular area has been examined and exempted.

No exemption from the school transport charges has been made in respect of pupils availing of catchment boundary facilities.

However, if exceptional circumstances are adduced in relation to the status of pupils under the terms of the school transport scheme in particular cases, my Department will be prepared to examine the matter.
