asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a person (details supplied) in Dublin can expect to have a telephone service provided.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when he expects that a telephone account problem will be resolved for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The accounts in this case have been rechecked and were found to be correct as issued.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be supplied to a person (details supplied) in Dublin who applied for service approximately three years ago; and the reason for the delay in supplying service.

It has not been possible to provide service so far for the person named because of the large volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the 01 area.

It is expected that service will be provided within about a year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for an applicant (details supplied) in County Dublin; and if it will be expedited having regard to the fact that the applicant has been on the waiting list for many years.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 674 and 675 together.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed before the end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware that a subscriber (details supplied) in County Dublin has been having considerable problems with her telephone service; and if permanent repairs will be effected as a matter of urgency.

There is no record of previous faults on this subscriber's line in recent months. The existing outage which is due to a fault in the underground cable will be cleared within a week.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the application has been made and the deposit paid.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in regard to the telephone application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin, how long the applicant has been waiting for service; the precise reason for the delay; and when a service will be provided.

It has not been possible to provide service so far for the person named, who applied on 28 January 1980, because of the volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the 01 area.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work will be completed before the end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in regard to the application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin how long the applicant has been waiting for service; the precise reason for the delay; and when service will be provided.

It has not been possible to provide service so far for the person named, who applied on 25 March 1975, because of the volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the 01 area. It is expected that service will be provided later this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be supplied for a person (details supplied) in Dublin who applied for service two years ago as he is attempting to establish a small business and needs a telephone urgently.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed before the end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be supplied to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

It is expected that telephone service will be provided for the person named towards the end of this year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed for persons (details supplied) in County Kerry as they are old and in poor health.

It has not been possible to trace an application on behalf of the person named. If the Deputy can furnish additional information e.g. when and where the application was made, further efforts will be made to trace it.
