I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1983-84, to include an increased allowance in respect of interest relief, was issued to the taxpayer on 30 May 1983.
The taxpayer's liability for the years 1980-81, 1981-82 and 1982-83 has now been reviewed by the inspector of taxes and a cheque for the refund due will issue shortly.
