Vol. 343 No. 8

Written Answers. - Dublin National School.

612.

asked the Minister for Finance when the report of the Commissioners of Public Works with regard to the heating system in St. Gabriel's national school, Cowper St. Dublin 7, will be made available to the Department of Education.

In November 1982 improvements in the existing heating system in St. Gabriel's national school, Dublin, were carried out as a temporary measure on the understanding that the Department of Education would consider sanctioning a grant for an oil fired central heating installation when the present system had reached the end of its useful life which was expected to be in about three or four years.

On 27 April 1983 the Department of Education indicated that the manager of the school wished to have a central heating system installed and asked the Commissioners of Public Works to report on this, bearing in mind the improvements carried out to the existing system last year. Because of the large volume of work on hands it is not possible to say when precisely the commissioners will furnish their report but they will do so at an early date.
