Vol. 343 No. 8

Written Answers. - Dublin Private Hospital.

613.

asked the Minister for Health if he has refused to allow the development of a private hospital in association with a public hospital in any area; if he will name the projects refused; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have informed the body which proposed to build a private hospital at Beaumont that I am not prepared to approve the making available, for the building of a private hospital, of any portion of the land acquired from Exchequer monies for the provision of the public hospital at Beaumont. I intend to take the same position in relation to any similar proposal.
