Vol. 343 No. 9

Estimates 1983.

With the permission of the Chair and by agreement with the Whips I propose that we take Votes Nos. 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10 to 17 and then take No. 9 — Public Works and Buildings — at the end around 12 o'clock.

Around 12 o'clock is a loose arrangement.

I am concerned to facilitate discussion of the Estimates.

There is an order of the House providing that this group of Estimates must be concluded by 12.30. That is the only order the House has made. If the House wants to do anything else by agreement that is acceptable.

If it would facilitate the Chair I would say that we take them in that order, leaving No. 9 until the end. By agreement we will tailor our statements and our use of time to achieve the result that I have indicated.

By agreement it is proposed to take Votes No. 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 10 to 17 in that order and then to take Vote No. 9.
