There are 44 Post Office microwave links currently in operation. There are none, other than those in course of installation, which are not in use except for a limited amount of equipment held for emergency purposes.
Spare capacity is available on some of these links and where there is adequate spare capacity, facilities for private enterprise may be provided on a rental basis on request.
