1002.

asked the Minister for Education when a letter of sanction will be issued to the board of management of St. Joseph's primary school, Oliver Plunkett Hill, Fermoy, County Cork, for the erection of an extension of two classrooms and toilet facilities to solve the very serious existing overcrowding problem there.

1007.

asked the Minister for Education when a letter of sanction will be issued to the board of management of St. Joseph's primary school, Oliver Plunkett Hill, Fermoy, County Cork, for the erection of the necessary extension to the school; and the reason for the delay.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 1002 and 1007 together. The need for additional accommodation at St. Joseph's National School, Oliver Plunkett Hill, Fermoy, County Cork, is being considered in the context of the accommodation requirements of the area in general. My Department's examination of the case will be completed as soon as possible and a decision will then be conveyed to the chairman.

1003.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding Brooklodge second level school, County Cork.

County Cork Vocational Education Committee have bought a site for a new second-level school to serve the Glanmire and Riverstown area. The timing and pupil capacity of the proposed new school have not yet been decided. The situation will be reviewed when enrolments in primary and post-primary schools in the general area for 1983-84 are available.
