Vol. 346 No. 1

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

286.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants awaiting telephone services at Cypress Down, Templeogue, Dublin 6; and when service will be provided for them.

I am sorry that it has not been possible in the time available to collect the required information. I will write to the Deputy as soon as the information is to hand.

287.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Meath as he has been waiting for a considerable time for service, and his area has gone automatic.

It is expected that telephone service will be provided for the person named within about six months.

I very much regret the delay in providing telephones. However, by the end of 1984 the vast majority of telephone applications will be met on demand.

288.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a telephone service which is necessary for business purposes will be repaired for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 14.

The subscriber's line and apparatus has been checked and found to be in good working order. The problem with regard to incoming calls is being specially investigated.
