Vol. 346 No. 6

Written Answers. - Disturbance Money Payment.

414.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reason thirty-five of the total workforce at his Department's depot in Wexford received disturbance money; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is assumed that the question refers to the transfer of engineering personnel from the Redmond Road Depot to the area engineering headquarters at Whitemill, Wexford.

The staff in question qualified for and have been paid a disturbance allowance in respect of the transfer, on the basis of a claim agreed at the departmental council under the civil service conciliation and arbitration scheme.

I have no statement to make on the matter.
