asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the number of Christmas cards issued from his office and that of his Minister of State in 1983; and the total cost including postage.

The number of Christmas cards sent out by me as Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism in 1983 was nil.

The number of Christmas cards sent out by Minister of State, Deputy Michael Moynihan, was 158 at a cost of £75.59.

Officially provided Christmas cards are despatched as Departmental post and there is no separate postage record.
