It is a condition of the mortgage subsidy scheme that the subsidy is payable only when the appropriate new house grant has been paid. The grant in this case was paid on 17 January 1984. The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will be paid when the applicant submits the relevant claim form duly certified and provided that all the conditions of the scheme are met.
