asked the Taoiseach the total tonnage of cereals imported from EEC countries in 1983; and the names of the ingredients.

(Dún Laoghaire): I propose to take Questions Nos. 7 and 10 together and to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the information requested in respect of the period January — November 1983, the latest period for which such information is available.

Will the Minister give the information to the House?

(Dún Laoghaire): The imports of cereal from January to November 1983 amounted to 432,000 tonnes. Imports from EEC countries amounted to 385,600 tonnes.

Will the Minister give the House the names of the ingredients imported?

(Dún Laoghaire): Wheat and meslin, rye, barley, oats, maize, rice and other cereals.

Will the Minister give the amounts separately?

(Dún Laoghaire): Wheat and meslin, 218,200 tonnes; rye, nil; barley, 65,900; oats, 200; maize, 143,800; rice, 3,500; and other cereals, 300.
