Vol. 352 No. 5

Written Answers. - Waterford Regional Hospital.

174.

asked the Minister for Health if he will now allow the new Waterford Regional Hospital to go to tender immediately in view of the fact that all stages of planning are now completed.

Trailer advertisements have been placed in the newspapers, inviting contractors to apply for inclusion on a list of tenderers for the new Waterford Regional Hospital and the closing date for receipt of applications was 15 June 1984. A short list of suitable contractors is now being prepared by the design team for the project, in consultation with the health board.

I expect that the health board will submit this list to my Department for approval by the middle of July and that tenders will be invited from the contractors on the approved list as soon as possible afterwards.
