The file in this case is with my Department's inspector for investigation and report with a view to payment of the new house grant. It is understood that an inspection has been carried out and a decision on the payment of the grant will be made when the relevant report is received. Payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy cannot be made until the £1,000 new house grant is paid and the applicant submits the relevant claim form, duly certified.
