asked the Minister for Health the amount of money paid for services to voluntary hospitals outside their area by the North-Eastern Health Board; and the hospitals to which this money was paid.

It is estimated that the total amount of money paid in respect of patients from the North-Eastern Health Board catchment area for services provided by voluntary and joint board hospitals outside their area was £11,541,026 in 1983, the latest year for which figures are available. This money was paid to the following hospitals.
