Scoil Muire gan Smál, Brosna, Birr was one of the post primary schools selected in 1984 to be provided with a new micro-computer system under the scheme for the provision of micro-computer facilities for post primary schools. It is understood that the micro-computer was delivered to the school in late December 1984 and that is was installed on 9 January 1985.
