Vol. 355 No. 7

Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) Enterprise Centre.

416.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if, in view of the very high level of unemployment that exists in the Clondalkin area of County Dublin, he will provide an enterprise centre for the Clondalkin area.

The provision of facilities for industrial development is the responsibility of the Industrial Development Authority.

I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that it has no plans at present to provide an enterprise centre in Clondalkin. The IDA will, however, be prepared to assist community or private sector moves to establish such a centre in the area as it is doing in Tallaght in partnership with local interests.
