Vol. 356 No. 4

Written Answers. - Dublin County Boundary.

462.

asked the Minister for the Environment if, as a result of the new county boundary, which he has proposed, commercial property owners in Howth, Sutton, Sutton Park, Bayside and Baldoyle will be liable for the county rates; and the increase this will involve in the annual rates charges.

The legislation to provide for the alteration of the boundaries of Dublin city and county will contain provisions, which are usual in such cases to cushion in the years following the transfer the effect of increased rates on ratepayers whose existing property would be liable to a higher rate level as a result of a boundary change.
