Vol. 356 No. 7

Written Answers. - School Transport.

645.

asked the Minister for Education if a person (details supplied) in County Galway will be granted school transport facilities to Gairm Scoil na Piarsach, Rosmuc, Connemara, County Galway.

As the pupil in question lives within three miles of Gairm Scoil na bPiarsach, Rosmuc, she is not eligible for school transport under the terms of the post-primary school transport scheme. During the current school term, however, she may avail herself of concessionary fare-paying transport on a special school bus serving Rosmuc on payment of a term fare of £28. The continued availability of this concession is subject to spare accommodation being available on the school bus after all eligible pupils have been catered for.
