Vol. 356 No. 7

Written Answers. - Industrial Grant Assistance.

480.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he will give details of all grants and capital assistance made available by the IDA or other statutory bodies under the aegis of his Department to a firm (details supplied) and of any recent applications made for further grants.

I am advised by the IDA that it has paid £314,045 in grants to this firm. These payments were in respect of capital and training grants. Córas Trachtála is the only other State agency under the aegis of my Department to have given grant assistance to the company. A total of £9,132 was paid to the company in respect of meeting the cost of such items as travel, sales literature and overseas customer visits. There have been no recent applications for grant assistance from the company to any of the State agencies under the aegis of my Department.
