asked the Minister for Finance the number of small and medium-sized enterprises that availed of the provisions in relation to marketing under the Border Areas Programme; the number of grants that have been allocated under the marketing mechanism; and the amounts of each grants.
Grants totalling £700,000 were provided to Córas Tráchtála 1981 to 1983 for the provision of marketing aids to small and medium sized enterprises in the Border counties. One hundred and eighty (180) small and medium sized enterprises in the Border counties availed of Córas Tráchtálas assistance in the form of marketing advice, marketing research, commercial information design and market development.
