Vol. 356 No. 9

Written Answers. - British Incursion.

452.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he is aware of an incursion by the British Air Force over Scotstown, County Monaghan, on 18 February 1985, and the action he proposes to take on the matter.

All reports of incursions are immediately investigated and pursued with the British authorities, if confirmed. I understand a report was made to the local Garda authorities suggesting that an air incursion took place early on the morning of 19 February 1985, at Scotstown, County Monaghan. Inquiries have not yet concluded and if the Deputy has information on the question I would be grateful if he would communicate with me or the local Garda Síochána. If the report is confirmed the matter will be pursued with the British authorities.
