The answer is "no"— having regard to the provisions of article 11 (2) of the Housing Regulations, 1980, which provide that a new house grant shall not be paid to a person, or to the spouse of such person, where the person or the spouse, either separately or with each other, has previously purchased or built another house for his or their own occupation.
