Vol. 357 No. 11

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

571.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an interest subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

An application for mortgage subsidy was received in my Department from the person named on 16 April 1985 and a certificate of provisional approval and claim form for the subsidy has issued to him. The first instalment of the subsidy will be paid when he returns the claim form duly certified by his lending agency.

572.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork as she has been in her house for three months and it has been inspected and passed and she has already received a £5,000 grant.

The grant will be paid shortly in this case to the builder as authorised by the person named.

573.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £5,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Louth.

The grant has been paid in this case.

574.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reasons payment of a £1,000 new house grant has not been made to persons (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The application in this case was rejected in October 1983 when an examination of the plans submitted showed that the floor area of the house exceeded the statutory limit of 125 sq. m. (1346 sq. ft.) However, following an appeal the applicants were informed that the house would be measured as completed. A final inspection by appointment, with a view to establishing the exact size of the house, etc., will be carried out shortly and the applicants will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
