My Department on 28 May 1984 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of a proposed extension to the national schools in the Portrane/Donabate area of County Dublin with a view to bringing the accommodation overall to 16 classrooms.
The question of inviting tenders for the project will be considered by my Department in consultation with the Commissioners of Public Works as soon as the contract documents have been completed by the commissioners. I understand from the commissioners that their work is at an advanced stage and is expected to be completed in the near future.
