The provision of library facilities is a matter for individual library authorities. Cork County Council has submitted to me proposals for the provision of a branch library at Clonakilty, the purchase of two mobile libraries and the purchase of books for libraries at Mallow, Youghal and Clonakilty. This year, I have allocated £200,000 for the Clonakilty project. The allocation of capital to other projects will be considered next year.
