Vol. 359 No. 9

Written Answers. - Domiciliary Care Allowance.

117.

asked the Minister for Health when a home care allowance which was discontinued when he went to St. Patrick's will be reissued in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as he has been at home since April.

Domiciliary care allowance is not payable in respect of children who are maintained in residential care, and was therefore discontinued when the child in question entered care some years ago. Payment of the allowance recommenced with effect from 25 April 1985 when the child returned to live at home on a fulltime basis.
