It is understood from the Commissioners of Public Works that they have under consideration a proposal from the schools' architects to extend the tarmac play area of Bayside national schools. The commissioners will be furnishing a report and recommendation to my Department on the matter at an early date. When the report is received the question of grant-aiding such improvements to the play area as may be eligible for grant assistance will be considered. There are no funds available to my Department for landscaping national school grounds.
