Vol. 361 No. 2

Written Answers. - Disadvantaged Schools.

34.

asked the Minister for Education the schools in Finglas and Ballymun which have been classified as disadvantaged; the additional services and teachers which have been provided to these schools; and the reason the Department has refused to provide for the appointment of an extra temporary teacher for St. Finian's boys' national school, Finglas South.

The information requested is in the form of statements which I propose to circulate in the Official Report.

The position with regard to St. Finian's is that it has not been possible to include it in the list of schools selected for additional teaching assistance. Accordingly it is not open to me to allow the appointment of an extra temporary teacher.

Schools in Ballymun and Finglas which are in receipt of special additional assistance on grounds of disadvantage

1. Schools which have been selected for additional teaching assistance for the 1985-86 school year.
