Vol. 361 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

102.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will reconsider the application for a farm modernisation grant by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny with a view to paying the grant.

The items in question are not eligible for grant aid as the work was carried out without the prior written approval of the Farm Development Service. There is no record of an application for grant aid under the farm modernisation scheme in this case.

103.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the second instalment of the sheep premium grant for 1984 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As there is some doubt regarding ownership of the lands and stock involved in the claim for 1984-85 ewe premium, the person named has been requested to furnish proof of ownership by the local office of my Department. When he does so his claim will be processed further.

104.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Carlow did not receive his sheep subsidy for 1985 as he has received it in previous years.

The person named was not paid grants under the 1985 sheep headage scheme as he had no mountain sheep grazings.
