Written Answers. - European Investment Bank Loan.

57.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if in view of the serious financial difficulties of many farmers throughout the country as a result of the inclement weather over the past year, if he will now accept the £100 million subsidised loan from the European Investment Bank as negotiated by Mr. Brian Lenihan, TD when Minister for Agriculture in 1982; the reasons he has not availed of this loan to date; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
