Vol. 363 No. 2

Written Answers. - Water Schemes.

37.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received tenders from Limerick County Council for the construction of the extension of the water supply from Abbeyfeale to Templeglantine; and when approval will be given to this project.

A proposal for the acceptance of a tender by Limerick County Council for the Abbeyfeale water supply scheme was received in my Department on 15 January 1986. My Department requested additional details from the council on 17 January 1986 and I hope, on receipt of these details, to issue an early decision on the proposal.

asked the Minister for the Environment the water scheme allocations for the different areas under the western package; and if he will name the schemes in each of these different areas and the amount of moneys involved.

Compilation of the information requested in respect of all private group water schemes which are in receipt of FEOGA aid would require an inordinate amount of staff time and cost which would not be warranted. The total amount of grants allocated by my Department for these schemes is £19,354,460. The information requested in respect of public water schemes which qualify for FEOGA aid is as follows:
