The preliminary report for the Galway city eastern environs water supply and drainage scheme which was received in my Department on 21 June 1984 is under technical examination. As the report covers areas in the functional areas of both the county council and county borough council further detailed technical discussions are necessary and I cannot therefore say when I will be in a position to give a decision on the proposal.
