Vol. 365 No. 1

Written Answers. - Land Registration Fees.

280.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason a £4 fee is now required by the Land Registry before they give information on dealing reference numbers.

The Land Registration Fees Order, 1983 (S.I. No. 388 of 1983) prescribes current fees to be charged by the Land Registry. There is no specific fee prescribed for information regarding dealing reference numbers. However, a fee of £4 is prescribed (Item 15 of the Land Registration Fees Order, 1983) for a search by telegram or, in the case of a solicitor, by telephone under Rule 196 of the Land Registration Rules, 1972 (S.I. No. 230 of 1972).
