Vol. 365 No. 3

Written Answers. - Consumer Policy.

29.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is satisfied that consumers have adequate rights in the development of policy which affect them; and if he will outline the steps he is taking to improve the present situation in that respect.

Limerick East): I am satisfied that there has in the past been adequate consultation with consumer interests in the development of any legislative measures directly affecting the consumer. It is standard practice to consult with consumer bodies when any such measures are proposed and this will continue to be the case.
