Vol. 365 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Industrial Development.

25.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has any further proposals to assist industrial development in the Tallaght area, County Dublin.

Limerick East): I am informed by the Industrial Development Authority that they are actively promoting the Tallaght area for industrial developent and that at the Tallaght Enterprise Centre, which is now on-stream, an area of 3,000 sq. ft. has been allocated to the Get Tallaght Working Group for the provision of local community based employment. The IDA and locally organised representative groups in Tallaght are collaborating in the establishment of a management committee for the enterprise centre which includes representatives of the local community, chamber of commerce and community council.

Including the small industry projects which I announced yesterday, the IDA have since the beginning of this year, approved seven small industry projects for Tallaght with a job potential of 58. Two of these are located in the enterprise centre and a further three projects are being negotiated for the centre.
