Vol. 365 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

26.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of grants for a group water scheme (details supplied) in County Galway will be made.

This proposal was examined in 1981 but did not qualify for group scheme grants as it involved the provision of a water supply to only one house (a minimum of two houses are required under the scheme) and indeed that house was only at the proposal stage. If the group notifies my Department of any material changes in the proposal affecting its eligibility for grants, the matter will be examined further.

27.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a prior inspection will take place in relation to a house improvement grant application for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

This application was received in the Department on 7 March 1986, and has been referred to the inspector for investigation and report.

28.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

Notification has issued to the applicant authorising her to proceed with the work in respect of which her application was made subject to the conditions of the grant scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when she applied for the grant. On receipt of notification of completion of the work an inspection with a view to payment of the grant will be carried out.
