Vol. 367 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Limerick Water Scheme.

78.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position with regard to the group water scheme for the Killeady-Ashford area; if he is considering grants for the provision of another well to maintain supplies to meet existing demands; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the Killeady-Ballagh group water scheme for which second grants totalling £10,240 were paid in 1979 in respect of the cost of boring a new well following the failure of the original source. While I am not aware of any current problems in relation to the scheme my Departments local inspector will call on the group shortly to assess the situation.
