The position is that my Department has asked the school authorities to make application for planning permission on the basis of plans prepared by the Department for the proposed extension to Baltydaniel national school, County Cork and I understand that additional information is being sought by the local authority in connection with their consideration of the matter. I have no reason to believe that there has been any undue delay in having this stage of the project processed, but in deference to the Deputy's interest I am asking that the matter be expedited as much as possible.
