Vol. 370 No. 2

Written Answers. - Donacarney (Meath) School.

180.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the payment of a grant amounting to £1,016 in respect of windows and other works for Donacarney national school. County Meath; and if it is expected that this payment will be made within a short number of weeks.

A grant was not allowed in respect of the works to the windows at Donacarney national school, County Meath because there were considered to come within the scope of normal maintenance and were, therefore, ineligible for capital grant. A small balance of grant remains unpaid in respect of other works arising from the extension of the school because of defects which have manifested themselves and are the subject of correspondence with the school authorities.
