Written Answers. - New Schools.

107.

asked the Minister for Education if he will give an up-to-date report on the proposed new second level school in Dunboyne, County Meath; and if he will give full details of this report.

As the Deputy knows, the provision of a new post-primary school in Dunboyne has already been approved in principle. My Department are negotiating the acquisition of a suitable site. The potential growth in the area is being kept under constant review by the Department with a view to ensuring that the school will be available in due time to cater for the increased demand arising from such growth.

108.

asked the Minister for Education when tenders will be advertised for the provision of a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply on 20 May 1986 to his questions about the project referred to, when I advised him that tenders had in fact been invited.

109.

asked the Minister for Education the details of all new schools and school extensions in the primary sector built in Donegal from 1981 to date.

The compilation of the information sought by the Deputy would involve the expenditure of an inordinate amount of official time by my Department and I am not prepared to divert staff for the purpose.

110.

asked the Minister for Education the details of all new post-primary schools and extensions to post-primary schools built in Donegal from 1981 to the present date.

The compilation of the type of comprehensive detail sought by the Deputy would involve the expenditure of an inordinate amount of official time by my Department, and I am not prepared to divert staff for its preparation.

If the Deputy wishes to put down a question or questions seeking information as to progress in relation to particular school projects about which he is concerned, I shall be glad to supply whatever information it is the practice of my Department to provide in such circumstances.
