The position in regard to the action which has been taken on the recommendations of the Committee on Public Expenditure was comprehensively set out by the Minister for Finance in a statement to the House on Thursday 11 December. I do not propose to add anything further to that statement.

asked the Minister for Finance the steps, if any, which have been taken to review the proposal to construct a new Department of Defence and Army headquarters, in the light of the 20th report of the Dáil Committee on Public Expenditure on this proposal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The position in regard to the steps which have been taken to review the proposal for the construction of the Department of Defence Headquarters in the light of the 20th Report of the Dáil Committee on Public Expenditure, was set out by the Minister for Defence in his statement to the House on 4 December last. I do not propose to add anything further to that statement.
